Prostitutes in a Romanian town have suspended their services for Lent.

The working girls in Botasani say they want to be good Christians and go to church for Easter.

The women say they will gather in groups and go to the priests to confess their sins and ask for forgiveness.

One of the girls, Luminita, told Ziarul daily: "Clients are very few these days because many of them are fasting or others keep their money for the Easter preparations. So we thought we shouldn't work this week either."

Another prostitute, Mirela, added: "We already went to the priest to ask forgiveness. We don't see what we do as a sin. It's just work and it's our way to earn a living. If we have sex instead of digging the field it's just the way it happened."

The girls are threatening to use their influence with important clients, like prosecutors or policemen, to have any prostitutes who continue to work fined.Full Story...

FORT WORTH -- "Sunny" is an escort trying to attract clients by posing in a cheerleader costume. She was not counting on attracting the wrath of TCU administrators.

They are not happy that the 21-year-old woman used an image of herself posing -- clothed -- on top of a brick Texas Christian University sign on campus to promote her service on an X-rated Web site.
"I probably would not want any businessman or -woman making money off of the good name of TCU," Chancellor Victor Boschini said in an e-mail.

Sunny, who paid the Web site host to show her images, said she is a sophomore in college, though she told the school's newspaper, The Skiff, that she doesn't attend TCU.

"I didn't expect to get this many calls," she said. "I took the picture at TCU because of the pretty background, and I cut off the (TCU) sign because I didn't want it to show. But they recognized everything because of the background."

The woman said she hopes the escort service will help pay her way through college and added that she is not having sex with her clients, whom she charges $300 an hour or $2,500 overnight.

As of Wednesday, Sunny's image was still on the Web site. Officials from the Web site did not return phone calls. Full Story...
