Gay escort, porn sites transfix Peterson trial
Further details emerged Friday about novelist Michael Peterson's alleged secret bisexual life, including evidence that he corresponded by e-mail with a male escort and visited Web sites with names like Malevault.com and Youngstuds.com.
In another highlight of Peterson's first-degree murder trial Friday, Judge Orlando Hudson ruled that the escort must testify, although he will receive statewide immunity from prosecution when he does so.
Hudson ruled that the true identity of the escort, who goes by the pseudonym "Brad," will be kept secret. But the judge declined to bar the media from photographing him.
The escort's lawyer, Thomas Loflin, argued unsuccessfully that his client's complete identity, including his face, should be shielded from public view because the bisexual angle has "injected quite a bit of salaciousness" into the trial. Full Story...
