German brothel holds open house for charity

A German brothel threw open its doors over the weekend for an open house aimed at raising money for charity, drawing a nearly unprecedented crowd to the establishment, organisers said.

"Club Escort" and the prostitutes' aid group Mitternachtsmission (Midnight Mission) attracted about 200 people at 40 euro ($A69.57) a ticket for an art exhibition at the bordello late Monday to benefit under-age street walkers.

Sex, however, was not for sale.

"The response was overwhelming," said charity director Jutta Geissler-Hehlke.

The brothel's proprietors opened up the sado-masochism chamber to display erotic oil paintings for sale while the bedrooms held donated raffle prizes. Full Story...

Teen Gets 10 Years in Porn Case

Calling it the worst day of his judicial career, a judge blasted Congress on Monday before imposing what he called an excessive mandatory 10-year prison sentence on a teenager who distributed child pornography over the Internet.

U.S. District Judge Gerard Lynch said he would have sentenced Jorge L. Pabon Cruz to five years if Congress had not insisted on a punishment more severe than what worse child pornography crimes require and that creates obstacles to rehabilitation.

"It's a bitter and unfortunate sentence. I wish I could do more for you," Lynch told Pabon, a 19-year-old who had been living in Rochester, N.Y., when he enabled distribution of thousands of child porn pictures from September 2001 to December 2001. "With a heavy heart and with a firm conviction that the sentence being imposed is neither just nor the best way to protect society nor the way a humane society should treat a very young person with a terrible problem, I impose the mandatory minimum of 10 years." Paintballs, Naked Women -- May be Front for Escort Service

The creators of "Hunting for Bambi" are in hot water with the mayor of Las Vegas. The game to hunt naked women with paintball guns has been called a hoax. Now, the mayor says the business--if it is real--may constitute an unlicensed escort service.

After an investigation by the city attorney's office, Mayor Oscar Goodman said it was all a front for an escort service: “We're going to draw the line. We’re not going to let anyone assault and batter women and we're not going to let people proceed unlicensed with escort services.” Full Story...

Just over three-quarters of those who had dated younger men said they were at least five years their junior, while for a fifth the age gap was at least a decade. Full Story...

Pornography not just for the fellas as women fess up

Defying the stereotype of the average pornography consumer as a desperate old man in a raincoat is a study that shows significant numbers of women are taking an interest, too.

Women make up about 20 per cent of respondents to an online survey, part of the Federal Government-funded study called Understanding Pornography In Australia.

Head researcher Alan McKee, a senior lecturer in media studies at the University of Queensland, said that although results from the three-year study were far from complete, they gave an indication of the changing image of pornography users.

"Even just 10 years ago the idea of an Australian Women's Forum was considered slightly radical, because the belief was that women weren't really interested in sexualised images," Dr McKee said. "That's fallen away very, very quickly. The younger women who are coming up seem to be much more comfortable about it." Full Story...

Cyber sex lures love cheats

Growing numbers of married people are turning to internet chat rooms for sexual thrills, a US study has found.

But partners felt betrayed by the virtual infidelity, even though in most cases no physical contact had taken place.

"The internet will soon become the most common form of infidelity, if it isn't already," said Beatriz Mileham, from the University of Florida, who carried out the new study. Full Story...

Escort-sting trial puts heat on cops

An escort service operator was supposed to be the one on trial Monday — for robbery and battery and for attempted bribery of a public official, all on the same night last year. But it was a pair of Green Bay police detectives who took most of the heat in Brown County Circuit Court for their part in a sting on escort services that night. Monday’s jury trial for Lakema Coleman, 27 — accused in separate cases of robbing and beating one of her dancers, Lisa Morella, and of trying to bribing police with free strip shows on Oct. 2 — focused about as much on Green Bay police detectives Steve Scully and Christine Thiel. Defense lawyer Joseph Norby grilled the detectives, following on a theory that police set up a confrontation between Coleman and Morella in order to get a search warrant for Coleman’s place of business. XXX-ceptable

Porn has gone mainstream. Today’s adult-film stars are writing books, making movie cameos and hitting prime time. When did America get so comfortable with hardcore?

Sometimes Bill Asher can’t believe what he hears. As the president of Vivid Entertainment Group, the biggest name in pornography, Asher makes a living lucrative enough to send his 16-year-old daughter to one of Los Angeles’s most expensive private schools.

AND HE’S NOT AT ALL intimidated by the school’s other parents—lawyers, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, even Andy Garcia. “It’s not seen as an odd thing that I’m a pornographer,” he says. “They know what I do, and they talk to me about it, it doesn’t faze anyone.” When he drops off his daughter at her friends’ homes, he says, parents open up to him. He estimates that an amazing one quarter of them have asked him for work. But what stuns him most are the reviews he gets. “They talk about my movies like you’d talk about Julia Roberts,” he says. “They say, ‘My favorite is Jenna Jameson,’ or whatever. A lot of the women will say they’d like to see more plot. It’s nice to hear the advice, but it always feels strange to me to have someone’s mother give you her take on our porn movies.” Full Story...

The couple were originally told they must be completely silent during sex but Judge Ermanno Tristano overturned that ruling.

He relented after the husband told him: "Your honour I can't make love properly unless my wife screams. It's like having sex with a cushion."Full Story...

Sex at 60 mph is OK in Germany

Having sex while driving at 100 kph (60 mph) down a motorway is not an offence in Germany. But if you hit something make sure you don't run off.

A Cologne court fined a man who admitted he was having sex with a blonde hitchhiker sitting astride him when he drove his car into a road sign. But only because he fled the scene of the accident with his naked accomplice.

"The man was convicted of hit-and-run and sentenced to a fine of 600 euros," court spokesman Juergen Mannebeck said on Tuesday. "It's hard to believe but in fact no law was broken with the intercourse on the motorway. It's a situation lawmakers never thought about." Full Story...
